In note to today's posting at
Writing Our Way Home HERE, this phrase caught my eye and explains what a
small stone is simply:
"Tomorrow, more than a thousand
people all over the world
will be pausing,
paying attention, and
writing down what they observe."
~ Fiona Robyn
One of the things I most love about writing is the 'Process'. I often get inspired by something that shows up unexpectedly in my life, and by using these three senses of PAUSING, PAYING ATTENTION, and WRITING DOWN WHAT I OBSERVE, I can sit down with a lit candle in front of me and let the words just flow into something new.
And when I had first read about this lovely new adventure in Mindful Writing Day, I took it upon myself in taking a few minutes (PAUSE) from the daily bliss that goes on around my house here, became more aware of what was being offered (PAYING ATTENTION) and how I connected with this writing starting on November 1st, and wrote down the word HOPE on a small stone (WRITING DOWN WHAT I OBSERVED) that I had found one day in Nature that's been sitting at my desk awaiting for me to use it somehow -- and in Dedication to this writing challenge project, did a short Ritual to aide in guiding me through this new adventure!
